Our department works in cordial cooperation with other departments in Klinikum Karlsbad-Langensteinbach, other hospitals and independent medical practitioners in the vicinity.
We offer an intensive training programme to medical students in both early and late phases of clinical training. We offer continuing medical education (CME) programmes for independent medical practitioners and nursing personnel. Patients have an excellent opportunity of obtaining information and printed material regarding vascular disease through Deutschen Gefäßliga e.V (German league for vascular diseases). The Akademie für Gefäßkrankheiten e.V. (academy for vascular diseases); undertakes many international cardiovascular scientific studies. There is a cardiovascular physical rehabilitation programme known as "Gefäßsportgruppen" which is a part of the academy for vascular diseases.
In order to further the cause of rendering a "healing touch" for patients, their relatives and the medical personnel a project called Art in Medicine was introduced. A new foundation with this regard called KiK_LA e.V. (Kunst im Klinikum Langensteinbach) was founded in 2003. KiK_LA e.V., has an art gallery at Klinikum Karlsbad-Langensteinbach which is open everyday and accessible to everyone, free of cost.
